Hello! I’m Chuck Roy, professional comedian and Chairman of the Bored at Colorado Comedy Shows. I love to make people laugh – laughter makes me happy.
You’ll hear me laughing during our comedy shows. After 30 years of producing and starring in comedy shows at comedy clubs, concert halls, television studios and the world-famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre, I understand how to create roaring laughter for you, your friends and family.
I know that laughter can be shared in-person, online and virtually. That’s why I’m inviting you to laugh with me. Let’s enjoy some big, pig-snorting, knee-slapping guffaws of laughter!
Laughing for a Good Cause
Did you know that Colorado Comedy Shows donates 10% of ticket sales and private event booking fees to Elevating Connections, a Colorado based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides connecting events for youth separated by foster care?
Together, the comedians, audience and crew of our shows helped raise a record amount of money for their Poetry Jam. More importantly, we helped produce the event because we wanted to ensure the young people had high-quality stage time to connect and share their voice.
Award Winning Comedy and Teaching
In 2020, I won a Kennedy Center Award for Innovative Teaching. This award recognized my work teaching Comedy and show business classes at the Community College of Denver. Now, I’m working with the school and several charities to ensure that young people in systems of care (i.e. foster care, courts, etc.) have equity and access to education.
